People would ask me “how did you manage to get her?” when they saw us together, which both boosted and deflated my self-esteem. I would sometimes be very impressed with myself and my ability to attract and keep this “trophy wife” on my arm.
I used to look at average guys with beautiful partners and wonder, how on earth did he get so lucky? But then I got lucky myself, and I’m sure other people now ask the same question about me.
Having a beautiful wife is great. However, “beauty” is ALWAYS in the eye of the beholder, and the most important thing is that your wife is beautiful to YOU. Hence, my real answer is this: “The sensation of personally recognizing the beauty of your wife is incredible.” To me, my wife is literally gorgeous.
I think the key to having a beautiful wife is to figure out what you think is beautiful. Then you just find that in a woman who has an amazing personality. I spent some time modeling and was around a lot of women whom I didn't really find to be beautiful. But there were some traits that I soon discovered I liked. I liked full lips and high cheekbones. I also liked a face that didn't seem “properly” proportioned. In other words, the attractive features would stand out a little too much. This would make her look “exotic.” However, I never found those qualities in women I saw while modeling or women I knew.
